Windows Vista Speed Tut!
Right, you have just purchased a new windows vista latop only to find its got a load of useless programs on it and microsoft keeps updating it which means those updates take up YOUR space.
The answer is to buy a previous fully upgraded version of windows...why? well because the previous versions get much less updates and the updates don't clog up your system which leads you to keep your pc for longer and to save money.
Now your thinking why is he making the tut then if he just gave me the answer. Well simply because i can't be bothered buying an older version so i thought i would make a tutorial on how to make those who have foolishly bought windows vista(including my self) and let them no that windows vista can be fast!.
Lets begin...
1: Change your current them to Windows Vista Classic.
How to: Right click on your desktop then click personalize then click themes. Now click on the dropdown box and click windows classic and finally click apply.
2: Disable Windows Vista sidebar.
How: On the bottom right of the screen you should see the sidebar icon. Right click that and click properties and the uncheck run at system startup and also disable the ones that are already running.
3: Performance Options.
How: Hold the windows key(microsofts logo on a key) and the pause break key at the same time. Then click advanced system settings and click settings under performance. Now click on " Adujst for best performance" and then scroll down and check...

Once down click ok.
4: Classic start menu.
How: Right click on the start menu and click properties. Click classic start menu and uncheck

Now click the tab notification area and click customize and the under the column behaivor put everything to hide when inactive.
After all that click ok then apply.
5: Msconfig
How: Click start and click run. Type "msconfig" and click selective startup and under that click load system services and keep all the rest unchecked.
After click services and click enable all then click startup and click disable all. Once your finished click the tab tools and scroll down till you see disable User Acount Control click that and click launch. Now click ok and exit.
Well thats it and now your laptop is going to shutdown under 10 secs and load much quicker and not mention everything else will be much faster.
